Please stick to TV canon rather than book. It’s an ongoing series so don’t worry at all about whether what you write matches with actual canon beyond whatever you’ve seen at the point when you write the story. I’m fine with them having escaped or still imprisoned, with the vampire apocalypse having already occurred or not, etc.

I love Amy and Brad and their surrogate father-daughter relationship. It’s sweet and loving without being cloying. They’re very tender with each other, while also sometimes prickly/awkward. I love how Brad respects Amy’s strength and abilities while being careful not to lay on more than she can handle, and how Amy is still believably a kid no matter what sort of abilities she has.

I’d like to see Brad and Amy taking care of each other, whether emotionally or physically or both, ideally while also having a bit of an adventure, whether it’s fighting vampires or trying to escape. I love all the times when Brad makes sure Amy still experiences a bit of childhood fun amidst the apocalypse, and I'd love more of that. How would Amy manage if Brad's seriously injured or sick, and they're being hunted by government operatives and/or vampires, pre- or post-apocalypse? I’d also be interested in a Groundhog Day or time travel story in which they’re trying to fix an apocalypse that’s already happened.

I am still watching S2 but will have finished by the time the exchange opens, so feel free to use or ignore canon from that. I have requested this fandom for various exchanges before; feel free to use any suitable prompts of mine from previous exchanges, including ones for pairings I requested before but did not request here.

I could read infinite reams of Frank getting taken care of after being beaten half to death, or of him caring for someone else, whether physically or emotionally. For a man with such amazingly dysfunctional ways of dealing with his own emotions, he's surprisingly good at handling difficult emotional situations involving other people's feelings. I would enjoy any moment of unexpected tenderness or awakening to unexpected joy/love, and/or any scenario in which Frank and some combination of Liebermans are lost in the wilderness and injured/sick while being chased by bad guys. Or just a wounded Frank banging on the Liebermans' door in the middle of the night.

For the post-apocalyptic prompts, maybe hard-bitten survivor Frank with less-experienced Leo. Or else it's the post-apocalyptic Liebermans taking in wounded loner Frank who hasn't had any contact with anyone not trying to kill him in literally years.

For time-travel, maybe some of them are from a Terminator/X-Men style "the whole future world is fucked" or a more personal but still really disastrous "everyone dies" future, and came back to undo it. (I'm not so interested in trying to undo canon events like the death of Frank's family.) Maybe Frank, or Frank and Billy (at cross purposes), come back from the fucked future/bad timeline and have to deal with living in a world they're trying to save but don't know if they can ever live in. Maybe the Liebermans are from the fucked future and team up with Frank because he can do things they can't and also seems out of time/place, though for a completely different reason.

Hyperspace pilot: Maybe you never know on each flight whether you'll come back, or come back sane; maybe it's so wonderful that you don't like coming back; maybe it's neither wonderful nor terrible, but so much its own thing you no longer fit in anywhere but onboard (shades of returning from war); maybe the ships are going off to fight so far across the galaxy that there's time dilation and the world has literally changed when you return. You could also do any non-space variation on "Frank was experimented on to give him powers and the side effects suck."

You don't have to actually read the book to write this concept, as I'll tell you everything you need to know, but you could do a Gateway AU - it's a book by Frederik Pohl in which people find alien ships that they don't quite understand, so you can fly them, but you have no idea until it's too late where they're going or how long the trip will be or if you'll arrive somewhere you can't survive or somewhere that will make you rich or save the world. Some ships never return at all; some return with the pilots dead; many arrive with the pilots really messed up physically and/or mentally. I could see Frank as a pilot and the Liebermans station personnel or newbie prospective pilots who haven't shipped out yet.

I loved how absolutely batshit insane the canon was while also being very emotionally raw and real-feeling. I love all the Hargreeves siblings – they’re all damaged fuckups in their own ways, all of which are completely plausible given their personalities and fucked-up childhoods. So please no character-bashing or raising any one above the others (ie, no “Vanya is a sociopath and Luther is a pure angel” or “Luther is an abuser and Vanya is a pure angel.”) Bash Reginald Hargreeves all you please though, he is the worst. You can also kill him, permanently and/or repeatedly, if you like. ;)

Canon gave me ALL the wonderful iddy hurt tropes (which doesn’t mean I’ve had enough of them! Lay them on me again please!) but it was short on comfort so I definitely want plenty of that. They all really could use a hug or hug-equivalent.

I love all the “raised as a weapon” and “child soldiers” tropes so please feel free to dwell on that. I love training sequences and would love a glimpse of the siblings as children being trained in inventively abusive ways and trying to comfort each other, whether in a story set in their childhood or as memories in a present-day story. Based on things like Vanya leaving Five sandwiches for years, Allison and Luther's play house, etc, I imagine the siblings did a fair amount of comforting each other in secret, and I'd love to see more of that.

If you use any of the “all Hargreeves siblings,” please include Ben, whether pre-death, as a ghost, post-ghost, or in an AU or time-travel scenario where he doesn’t die. I like him a lot. I haven’t read the comics but I heard (a rumor) that in comics canon is that he has interdimensional Cthulu-esque monsters under his skin. If that’s the case, is he tormented by having monsters in his body? Or tormented by not being able to control their violence once he lets out the tentacles? Worried that he’ll become a monster? Traumatized by all the people he/his tentacles gorily slaughtered? Does it hurt to release the tentacles? Was his death due to an interdimensional tentacle accident? Non-sexual tentacles only (gentacles?) please (though feel free to have Klaus joke about tentacle sex.) sorry.

For Klaus and Ben, I’d love a scenario where Ben is struggling with his tentacle-related problems while also trying to save Klaus from himself, whether in life or as a ghost or resurrected (etc). I would be astonished if Klaus has not resorted to sex work to pay for drugs, no doubt with a complete lack of self-preservation at every step of the way, so maybe some of that. Inventive methods of self-harm is canon for him, so feel free to go for that.

Klaus and Diego were such a fun pair. I loved how they were both damaged in some ways and weirdly functional in others, and how they both tried to reach other to their siblings even if they didn't always succeed.

For any combination, I would also love a story where any one of the siblings switches minds with their younger self and has to try to convince the rest of their siblings to run away/rebel/throw Dad out the window. Or where one or more goes back in time as their adult self and comforts their child self, or comforts one or more of their siblings. Or they go to a different sort of apocalyptic future, like a Terminator or Mad Max one. Or a Groundhog Day or time loop scenario where they keep re-living the same day. Or a powerswap or role reversal – what if it was one of the others who’d had their powers suppressed, or it was Klaus who hears rumors and Allison who sees the dead? Or they get switched with a Mirrorverse counterpart. Or any other weird scenario. Plus h/c, of course.

*Dick and/or Jason are patrolling/run into Tim and are drugged into forcing themselves on Tim.

His defenses are down, and he keeps trying to escape and begs for them to let him go. They hate it and themselves, but they cannot stop for whatever reason. (Perhaps the other has to physically hold Tim down, or they have to use their own strength to do it.)
*Tim gets pregnant from one of the above two scenarios, or in any non-con scenario (such as an abusive boyfriend), and how he deals with it.

*Tim doesn't do it often (or at least he doesn't think he does), but sometimes when he just needs a release, he cuts himself. One day, he takes it a little too far, and he collapses around his brothers. They don't take the revelation well.
*Since his parent's were never around, before Tim got involved with Batman and Robin, he was sexually abused by a teacher or another male authority figure. Something happened that made them move away, but now they've returned to Gotham and Tim has to confront a part of his past that he repressed.
*Tim never got a lot of attention and hugs growing up, and he's incredibly touch-starved. He tries to play it off, but there are little things that give it away. Luckily, no one cares about giving Tim what he needs.
*Tim gets a concussion and just starts bawling his eyes out. That's actually a legit side-affect of a concussion, and one that Tim is unfortunate enough to get.
*Tim and at least one of his brother's are somewhere hurt and the only way for Tim to get what he needs to save them, he has to have sex with their captor.
*The batboys are enchanted with something that returns them to the age they feel they lost their virginity. It doesn't affect Damian at all, Dick and Jason are probably in their mid to late teens or possibly early twenties, and Tim is way too fucking young.
*Tim is hiding the fact that he's an omega until he suddenly goes into heat. No one hurts him, but he has to get through the heat and then deal with the repercussions of them finding out.

You can go as light or as dark as you want with this. I love alternate universes as long as it isn't a completely mundane one. The age gap is neither a feature nor a bug, you can keep their canon ages, bump everyone up a little but keep the same gap, or make everyone the same age, or just not address it at all. You can ignore or incorporate Dark Phoenix. With the monster girl tags I mean them as the overall look and the trope, you don't have to limit them to just Jean. Also, while I don't want Rule 63 Jean, Rule 63 Scott or Peter is fine. I have seen all the X-Men movies, the Deadpool ones (including Once Upon a Deadpool), and Logan. You can definitely use elements of Logan, but having it be the eventual end of the ATM depresses me, so I'd prefer it be treated as another universe/timeline.

There are four things that appeal to me with this ship. The first is that all three can perceive the world differently from others. Jean is a telepath, Peter can move so fast that the world seems to be standing still and Scott can only see in shades of red. All three can be seen as an outsider. Jean was an outsider at a school for mutants. The impression I got from Scott's intro was that he wasn't very liked, and Peter is the mutant, thief son of a single mother with Eastern European ancestry during the Cold War. All three have some type of family drama. Scott's brother is way older than him and dies (and if he has the same backstory as the comic then he was raised by foster parents). Peter's father is a wanted criminal that left his mom, and if his universe's version of Wanda is like comic Wanda there could be complications there. The final, and probably most important reason, I just think their personalities all go well together and balance each other.

I enjoyed Sakura in the first two routes, but the third is such a gut punch. Sakura gets hurt so much and I just want someone to comfort her. I like both regular Sakura and dark Sakura. If going with Rin/Sakura you can handle the incest however you want. With Sakura/Saber I'm fine with it being regular Saber being a white knight or it being Saber Alter. You can combine my ships together and you aren't limited to just having Sakura hurt. For X-Men I've seen all the X-Men movies, Deadpool movies (including Once Upon a Deadpool), and Logan. You can definitely reference Logan but it being the eventual end of the ATM is a depressing thought to me, so please have it as an alternate timeline. I'm fin with Peter being a teenager like in Days of Future Past or in his twenties like in Apocalypse. With Kara either her canon age or as a teenager is fine. Age gaps are great, as long as the younger is no younger than been a teenager.

I think that these two are a really fun combination personality wise. They both know what it's like to have a supervillain relative. Kara is shown to be close to her adoptive sister and Peter looks close to his younger sister when he's hugging her in Days of Future Past. They could have a blast eating junk food together. I love the idea of what if Kara landed in the X-Men Earth and was imprisoned. I also love superhero/thief pairs. In a world that had the anti-mutant issues of the X-Men movies and the anti-alien sentiments of Supergirl, how would that negatively impact things. There's also so many fun superhero tropes possible.

* Naoki Miki/Takeya Yuki: Miki has already lost one person dear to her, so how protective would she be if Yuki? What if Miki was injured while protecting Yuki? That would definitely harm Yuki's delusions, so how would she handle Miki's wounds? Or maybe Yuki is hurt when she protects Miki from a sudden zombie attack? She's more aware than she seems, but obviously that might make Miki feel guilty over not being strong enough.

* Sakura Megumi & Takeya Yuki: Of all the characters in this canon, Megumi might be the one under the most pressure, but it's clear how much she cares about her students, especially Yuki. How does she comfort Yuki's initial breakdown over everything going to hell? How much of a strong mask does she put on? Or maybe Megumi's the one who finally breaks down and Yuki tries to comfort her, much to Megumi's embarrassment and/or shame?

Since this canon takes place during a zombie apocalypse, there's plenty of potential for both physical hurt/comfort and emotional hurt/comfort. What kind of toll does being trapped take on the girls? What about mental breakdowns and stress vomiting? Or what about the uncertainty of travel when the girls are forced to leave the school?

Maybe Seira throws herself into exercise more often to run from nightmares and Akari tries to reach out to her, or maybe Seira notices something's amiss when Akari starts pushing herself harder than usual.

* Shirokane Ginka/Taiyou Akari: Since Ginka has already almost died once, how scared would Akari be of losing her again? Or would Akari start to notice that Ginka's cheer hides nightmares about dying? Or, since Ginka went to the "other side," would she know of Akari being half-Daemonia? How would she try to comfort Akari's fears about losing herself to her Daemonia side? Would Akari worry that Ginka might fear her now?

* Taiyou Akari/Tsukuyomi Luna: Would Luna still feel insecure about her transformation into a Daemonia? Would she still fear hurting Akari? Would she still feel guilty about her love for Akari and jealousy of the others? Or, what if she did lose control again? How would Akari help Luna regain her humanity? Or maybe Akari confesses to Luna that she's half-Daemonia, and Luna tries to comfort her?

With this canon, the danger and violence of Daemonia battles can lead to some great hurt/comfort, especially if the one of the girls ended up trapped in the Astralux together and the other has to go rescue her. Or, what about Daemonia forms? You could play around with Luna's werewolf look, or maybe Akari's Daemonia side takes over and she transforms into a Daemonia-hybrid (I imagine it would be like a fiery phoenix) for some monster girl fic?

How would Ai react to taking care of someone that much older than her? Or, since they're both still grieving over lost family, how would they go about comforting each other?

* Ai Astin/Dee Ensy Stratmitos: Ai clearly thinks of Dee as someone important to her, but Dee probably still feels guilty about almost trapping everyone in Ostia, so how would Ai go about easing that guilt? Or, maybe if Ai is injured or sick, Dee finally realizes how much she loves Ai, so she pushes herself in doing whatever she can to care for Ai. What if Dee is hurting or sick but tries to hide it? How would Ai try to help her?

* Julie Sakuma Dmitriyevich/Dee Ensy Stratmitos: Even though these two don't interact much in canon, I quite like the age-gap potential here. They both carry a lot of guilt, although for different reasons, so would they reach out to each other for comfort? Maybe the stress of being strong all the time gets to Julie and he finally breaks down in front of Dee? Or perhaps when he's injured or ill and Dee is caring for him, he realizes that she's in love with him?

* Julie Sakuma Dmitriyevich/Scar: With Scar being new to human emotions and Julie having lost his family, there's plenty of potential for angst and comfort here. Maybe during their travels one of them of is hurt while protecting the other or Celica? Perhaps that fear of loss is what helps them realize how much they love the other? Maybe Julie confesses feelings of self-loathing to Scar, or maybe Scar still struggles with being both human and gravekeeper?

With this canon, the setting can seem rather lonely with the lack of new life, and the uncertainty of travel in a drying world would be quite stressful, so it'd be interesting to see how the characters handle grief and loneliness, and what kind of nightmares they might suffer too, and while traveling the fear of injury and/or illness would be very great indeed.

* Itomi Sayaka/Yanase Mai: Or, how about the shy girl and the big-sister type? Does Sayaka still suffer any pain from the aradama experiments Yukina put her through? Maybe a hidden injury resurfacing from those experiments leads Mai to try to recklessly confront those responsible for harming Sayaka? Or maybe Sayaka ends up pushing herself too much for her duties as the new Elite Guard, much to Mai's worry?

For both pairs, even with utsushi, the life of a Toji is still dangerous, so it'd be interesting to explore the violence of aradama missions and how the girls support each other. What if one of the girls is injured while protecting other? How would they handle injuries from battle and exhaustion? What kind of romance might bloom during danger or recovery?

And with either pairing, I welcome Aid Station ep-related angst, either Trapper fearing for Hawkeye's life, or Radar offering comfort to Klinger when he's up closer to the front lines.
