Mods will be going through the tagset themselves so alerting us is entirely optional! We just appreciate any help people would like to provide.

If the fandom goes to the wrong section and it's not misspelled then we can't do anything, that's on ao3's end. Thankfully it's only an issue for seeing it in the tagset, the signup treats all fandoms equally and does not care what section they're in.

I'm not the requester of the MUNCLE 2015 tag involving THRUSH characters above, but just because THRUSH doesn't exist by name in the movie doesn't mean plenty of folks don't write THRUSH as adversaries in the movie-verse. I'm pretty sure whoever nominated the tv version separately (with a distinct tag) meant to nom the movie version as well.

Unfortunately, I can’t get the exact text of this tag right now because I can’t access ao3, but I nominated a tag that was something to the effect of “Character A abandons plans to rescue Character B.” I realized belatedly that this was very ambiguous. Can it be changed to “Character A abandons plans in order to rescue Character B”? That was the meaning I intended.

Thank you for looking for that for me! Yes, that’s the one. Probably the Character A/B makes it more generally applicable and I’d prefer it on that grounds. In the request I’m going to use it in, the characters are strangers, but that need not be the case I don’t think.

But for my purposes, “the suffering stranger” framing works perfectly well, if you want to stick to what was actually nominated.

"Comforter caused the Hurt" / "Comforter is the one who hurt them" sound like duplicates to me, but that doesn't sound like the same thing as "comforting the person who's hurting you" -- that last one sounds like the person who has been hurt comforting the person who did the hurting, rather than the person who has been hurt being comforted by the person who did the hurting. (i.e., the first set sounds like "A hurts B, A comforts B" while the other one sounds like "A hurts B, B comforts A")

Maybe it's me, but "Comforter caused the Hurt" sounds more ambiguous than "Comforter is the one who hurt them" to me. The first doesn't imply the the comforter meant to hurt the other person, it can be used for accidental hurt. The second sound to me like the comforter wanted to hurt the other person.

Anyway, they aren't my tags/kinks so I have no feelings in one way or the other about them.

The tags that are basically the same tag with slightly different word order/grammar I agree with, but I disagree with the others.

The first set (tenderness) all seem fairly different to me. I wouldn't use those for the same pairings. Especially the difference between the last two.

Same with the second set. Merging could potentially make them useless to the nominator, depending on what they meant. "wanted to die" is different than "broken/suicidal state" due to intensity. "no idea how to live anymore. Other helps & comforts" is different than just "doesn't know how to cope" since the comfort is specified. "Character Planned to Die but Didn't" can encompass situations that none of the other tags do, and also doesn't specify the reactions like those do.

In the third set, "Comforting the person who's hurting you" is the opposite situation from the other two tags.

For the fourth set, you can be injured in the wilderness without being lost.

Protection - Mutual and Protectiveness are different things. Protection - Mutual could mean the action and specifies that it should be mutual.

Here are two very similar tags:

Soulbond Forms During Moments of Extreme Empathy
Soulmate AU - Soulbond Forms During Moments of Extreme Empathy

I did not nominate either of these tags this round but I was the original nominator for both in other tagsets over the past year. I switched from the "Soulmate AU" version to the one without it because I decided I didn't want any predestination implied by the "soulmate AU" part. The nominator of "Soulmate AU - Soulbond Forms During Moments of Extreme Empathy" might feel strongly that they want the implication of predestination so maybe you should keep both of them, but definitely I want the non-soulmate version to stay in over the soulmate version if you decide to pick one of them.

I think those two are fine as-is, as you have pointed out there are differences between a soulbond and a soulmate.

I think those last two are different; the first one is where the hurt is the comforter's fault, while the second is the comforter actively hurting them.

After reviewing, we've decided to go ahead with the change since it seems to be the same just two ways of phrasing it. If the second was present tense I could see an argument to be made for "The comforter hurt them" vs. "The comforter is hurting them"

But in both cases the hurt is past tense and it's down to if it would be more correct to say "The comforter is the one who hurt them" they are the person who hurt them in the past. Or "The comforter was the one hurt them" to match them both to past tense, but that also sounds like they're not the same person who hurt them anymore. But either way the phrase means the same as "comforter caused the hurt".

I mentioned these before in a previous post (but got no reply, and in one case I was waiting to see whether or not to re-nom it under a disambig to get it into the right one, as it was rejected from the right fandom due to the misplaced tags), and as they haven't been moved, am reposting.

Star Wars Prequel Trilogy has several relationship tags that should be in TCW, plus the OT has two lost PT tags, as follows:
