This is a super casual thing. If there's enough interest we could make a collection for them, or some other way to celebrate 31 days of hurting and comforting. Feel free to stick close to the prompt or get as creative with it as you want. Do as few or as many as you want, this is all for fun.

1. Too Hot!
Helping someone cool down, treating heat exhaustion/heatstroke, cool cloth for fever, treating sunburn.

2. Comfort Media
Movie night, Netflix and comfort, sleep overs.

3. It’s Not Just A River In Egypt
Comforting someone who’s denying that anything is wrong.

4. Lovesick
Pining to the point of self-neglect or harm, sleepless nights, forgetting to eat, forgetting to come in out of the rain.

5. ‘Tis But a Scratch
Dealing with bleeding, blood loss, cleaning blood from someone, drinking blood.

6. I Feel Faint…
Caring for someone who has lost consciousness.

7. I’ll protect you!
Trying to protect someone and failing, trying to protect someone and getting hurt in the process.

8. Oh the Weather Outside is Frightful
Comforting someone who’s sick/injured/upset while trapped together because of bad weather.

9. Trouble in Paradise
Tropical vacation accident, sunburn, jellyfish sting, almost drowning, etc.

10. Them’s the Breaks
Comforting someone with a broken bone or broken heart.

11. Bad Dreams?
Comforting someone after a nightmare.

12. Chicken Soup
Taking care of someone who has common cold, flu, pneumonia, or other illness.

13. Achilles Heel
Helping someone with a twisted ankle or other leg/foot injury.

14. Like A Momma Bird
Helping someone with everyday tasks that they’re unable to do because of illness/injury, feeding them.

15. Lullaby and Goodnight
Comforting during insomnia, helping someone relax and get to sleep. Alternatively needing to keep someone awake

16. I Need You To Know
Confessing deep secrets because of delirium or fear they won’t survive.

17. A for Effort
Awkward comfort, terrible at comfort and trying anyway.

18. Who are you again?
Head injury, amnesia, short term memory loss.

19. General Hospital
Hospitalization, surgery, waiting room vigils, field medicine, medical procedures.

20. Maybe Don’t Give 110%...
Exhaustion, overwork, migraines and headaches, needing to be convinced to take a break.

21. Who Turned Out The Lights?
Helping someone with the temporary or permanent loss of a sense or ability, being unable to see, unable to speak, unable to hear.

22. Winter Wonderland
Winter vacation accident. Broken bone while skiing/sledding, hypothermia, snow mobile crash, avalanche, blizzard.

23. Enter Sandman
Carrying to bed, bedside vigils, sleeping together for comfort.

24. Lets Get Dangerous
Recovery from a more serious injury or illness. Amputation, gunshot wound, injury resulting in chronic pain, near death experience.

25. A Long Soak
Bathing as comfort, visiting a hot springs, using hot tub or jacuzzi,

26. Too Cold!
Warming someone up, caring for hypothermia, preventing frostbite.

27. Long Distance Comfort
Phone, text, Zoom, messaging, letters, other long distance communication. Being there for someone when you can’t be with them.

28. Supernatural Problems
Spell mishaps or haunting or strange futuristic tech gone haywire and in need of fixing.

29. Supernatural Comfort
Use of magic or sci fi powers to help comfort someone.

30. Candy Overload
Comforting someone through some sort of stomach upset or abdominal pain.

31. Too Spooky!
Calming someone down after a fright or helping them with anxiety.

Oh, this is so up my alley. Will there be daily posts for each prompt for people to respond to throughout the month, or is that too spammy?

My current thought was to do one masterpost, people can comment with fills or links to fills and I'll update the masterpost each day with the links. That way it won't spam, but people can see all of them.

whoa, how did you do the "click to expand" trick on the images?

I am not actually sure! That may be a dreamwidth thing. The code it auto-generated had a thumbnail and link to the main image, so I just did img src with the address of the full image and that worked to make it full size.

1. Thank you SO MUCH for captioning all the prompts in plain text. I'm legally blind and couldn't read the picture at all and so many people don't think to caption. You rule.

Well I did all 31 of the things and wrote like 63k words, yikes! Guess I should add them to the master post once I’ve recovered!
