Please get your singups in, make sure they're correct, and make sure you can create for at least one person! And double-check that your signup follows the rules, including the new ones with Any and Creator Choice. If you see a signup that looks to have issues, please e-mail at hurtcomfortexmod@gmail.com.

Once you've signed up for the HurtComfort Exchange, you may want to post a letter. These are entirely optional, but can be fun!

Letters are for the person assigned to you, or anyone who might want to make you a treat (assuming you've not put in Optional Details that you do not want them). They should at least contain your signup information such as ao3 name, fandoms, relationships, and freeforms, and are a good place to fill out your requests by adding more details, likes/dislikes, and so on. There's a space in the sign up form for a link to your letter, so if you post a letter after signing up but before signups close, we encourage you to go back and edit your form with a link. You may also link to a placeholder letter such as a Dreamwidth post that you plan to go back and edit, but please have these ready as soon after assignments go out as you possibly can.

It is a good idea to copy your signup information, including DNWs, to your letter. However, if a DNW is in your letter but not also in your signup then there is no guarantee anyone writing or drawing for you will see it to avoid it and only DNWs in your signup information are considered binding.

Letters can be posted to DW, LJ, Tumblr, your Wordpress blog, google docs, wherever anyone can go to read them. When you have a letter up, link it here in the comments, along with a) the name you signed up with, and b) a list of the fandoms you requested. If you are using Google Documents, please Publish To The Web for sharing.

Posting a treat is a little different than fulfilling an assignment, as you must put in the recipients ao3 name in the work, as well as post to the collection rather than clicking fulfill assignment and having ao3 do that for you. Please ask if you need more instructions!

Soulmates AU - not all characters in a poly relationship are soulmates (Maybe add "causing insecurity" or the conflict/hurt you want)

We have a number of nominations that are using (hurt either) or (hurt any), we can't accept these. Ao3 will not match Character A/Character B/Character C (hurt B) with Character A/Character B/Character C (hurt any).

The only time you may use (hurt Any) is specifically for Character A/Any (hurt Any) in which case the any is understood to be the wildcard character.

Please correct these or they'll be rejected to make room to accept more nominations.

A fandom may have gotten rejected in the process of clearing out incorrect nominations. If you have a fandom come up as rejected, please comment here so it can be added to the tagset manually.

Collection Opening Soon!

Please finish any last minute edits and be ready!

We will be delaying collection opening to June 17th.

There are still outstanding pinch hits that will be due June 16th. We'll be e-mailing any pinch hitters who weren't able to turn in their works today to see if there will be additional pinch hits posted.

Please leave a comment with what pinch hit you would like to claim, and your ao3 username, or e-mail us at hurtcomfortexmod@gmail.com with the same information. All rules which are relevant for regular assignments also apply to pinch hits.

As we are close to the deadline, let us know if you can pick it up but will need an extension and we can work something out where there may be a potential delay.

If you're a pinch hit and have less than three unique fandoms and would like additional requests added please contact us now. With less than three you are not guaranteed a gift.
