Hi! I'm not the Star Wars nominator but I want to make sure I understand the clarification because it relates to something I want to nominate and this isn't covered in the nomination guidelines. My understanding of this clarification is:

A/B/C (hurt A)

- This is a valid tag as indicated in the guidelines
- It's asking for A, B, and C to all be in a romantic relationship with each other in an even fashion.

A/B & C (hurt A)

- This is a valid tag as indicated by this clarification post.
- It's asking for A and B to be in a romantic/sexual relationship and for them to have a gen relationship with C

(C & B)/A (hurt A)

- This is a valid tag as indicated by this clarification post.
- It's asking for C and B to both be in a romantic relationship with A, but not with each other.

Is that correct? Could you update the nomination guidelines post? I didn't realize that A/B & C nominations were allowed and in previous exchanges I think I've see A/B & A/C used instead of (C & B)/A, so I wouldn't have known to nominate them like that either...

And here I am even more confused now... lol. I thought the / just meant sexual, and not necessarily romantic or "relationship" in the sense of caring for someone. Because, how could we indicate who we want the hurters to be vs the comforters, if what we wanted was like, more of a gangbang situation with, say, two characters in an actual, loving relationship, but who are being attacked by multiple others who are not part of their relationship but who are involved, sexually and not in a "general" way?

I think I'll just / all of them to show that I'm looking for something explicit rather than gen, and then make it clearer in the request summary itself, since these things can mean different things to different people.

I'm afraid H/C Ex isn't really set up for specific sex scenarios. Generally what people are asking for is fic about relationships, romantic/sexual or friendship, with all H/C related prompts.

Specific sexual scenarios like gang bangs are probably better suited for exchanges set up for them.

For this, I'll all the example to the rules, using something like "(Peeta & Gale)/Katniss" would be a short way of writing "Peeta/Katniss and Gale/Katniss but not Peeta/Gale"

I think for your scenario since you want all the characters having a sexual relationship with Hux, parenthesis would be best. I can edit that for you.

Ah, ok, I think I see, then. I was thinking like for these that Ben Solo | Kylo Ren/Armitage Hux are the romantic partners, but then they are hurt by the others. So maybe this is more like what I'm looking for? Sorry, I've never done one quite like this before! ^_^;

I understand what you're trying to ask for, but unfortunately you're going beyond the scope of the exchange and there's no way for you to match on every aspect of this scenario that you want to request. H/C Ex and other freeform exchanges like it aren't for custom-ordering a specific work exactly as you want it - they're actually for getting a surprise gift. The wiggle room for the creator that you're trying to eliminate is actually a feature rather than a bug, because boxing your creator into a specific scenario isn't allowed and your creator has the freedom to interpret your request.

You should pick one of the following tags:

+ Ben Solo | Kylo Ren/Armitage Hux (hurt Hux)
+ (Enric Pryde & Brooks & Brendol Hux & Snoke)/Armitage Hux (hurt Hux)

If you request the first, you could request it with a tag like "Comfort after rape by third party" and OPTIONALLY say who you want that third party to be, but there's no guarantee.

If you request the second, you could request "public gangrape" and OPTIONALLY mention that you would like Kylo Ren/Armitage Hux comfort following your requested hurt, but there's no guarantee.

There is no way for you to construct a tag or request that includes both your preferred rapists and your preferred romantic relationship. If any deviation from the scenario you've described would disappoint you, that's a sign that it's not a good fit for an exchange request and you should request something else.

Oh! No, I'm totally laid back about how the listed pairs interact. I didn't mean to try to lock someone into a certain scenario by any means, I just wanted to be able to give a range of characters that I'd like to see interact, but I'd be happy with one, any, or all! :D

I'm perfectly happy to be surprised! I was already planning on mentioning that during my request itself, so I hope it will be ok! Maybe I should just leave it as is, with all slashes in place, therefore it's freer for the creator to choose. Or like you suggested, here: (Enric Pryde & Brooks & Brendol Hux & Snoke)/Armitage Hux (hurt Hux). I'm sure I won't be disappointed at all! :D

I nominated Power Exchange and Nonsexual Ageplay! Both are meant as comfort/healing portions of the hurt/comfort dynamic. So if we're gonna make them more specific, I guess I could say "Power Exchange to Assist Self-Care" and "Nonsexual Ageplay to Heal Childhood Trauma".

I nominated Body worship to assert equality, and I was thinking of a canon where a master/servant relationship is enforced from above. The master is forced to continue treating their beloved as a servant in public which causes a lot of canonical angst on both sides.

Those don't really work, I'm not into one half of a ship needing to apologize (and it doesn't suit their canon relationship either).

It's basically... they want to change the system or escape, and if neither is possible they prefer to die together rather than one surviving alone, and once imprisoned actually feel it's some degree of victory that they forced the oppressive authority to imprison them both and treat them as equals.

Oh, would "private body worship as secret act of rebellion against outside authority" be clear enough?

I think for something that detailed "body worship" and putting your prompt in Optional Details is the way to go.

Though perhaps "private body worship as secret act of rebellion against oppression" would work too, where oppression is the hurt.
